Case Study - Rising Damp, Old Park Road, Belfast.

Surveyed an old terraced property that showed signs of rising damp. We found high levels of rising damp around walls and signs of salt damage this was due to the age of the house, a failed DPC and solid wall construction.

Our first action for this process was to remove the damp/salt contaminated plaster followed by injecting Dryzone Chemical DPC. The chemicals within the DPC Cream diffuse along the mortar joint to form a moisture repelling resin. Using sand and cement with the Renderguard Gold additive, the walls were replastered and skimmed to complete the rising damp treatment.

This treatment will create a Chemical DPC to prevent rising damp or any further deterioration to the property. Dryzone products are covered by a 10 year guarantee, alongside a 20 year guarantee from MCM Contracts Ltd.
